At CALIYA, we provide a comprehensive range of interpretation services. We work with you to define together the language, the mode and type of interpretation you require as well as the interpretation equipment needed for the event. As the interpretation experience is vital to the success of your event, and to make sure you have the best possible experience, we only hire the most experienced and friendliest interpreters from Morocco and abroad, and use only state of the art interpretation equipment.
INTERPRETATION SERVICES
We provide Remote, Simultaneous, Consecutive, Whispered and Liaison interpretation services for international conferences, meetings, exhibitions, conventions, workshops, high level meetings and corporate events.
Remote Interpretation has become more popular following the Covid 19 pandemic, depending on the software used, remote interpretation can be dispensed as either simultaneous or consecutive interpretation.
Simultaneous Interpretation is provided by interpreters who, from a soundproof booth, listen to the speech in progress and immediately interpret into an audio system which conference delegates access through headphones.
Consecutive Interpretation is intermittent interpretion delivered without interpretion equipment while the program speaker pauses during the lecture. It is important to keep in mind that, due to the intermittent nature of consecutive interpretion, proceedings using this method will almost double the time required for delivery in one language.
Whispered Interpretation is essentially simultaneous interpreting for groups of 20 or less. The interpreter whispers into a microphone while sitting between, or at the side of, the delegate(s) who listen through headphones. It is also possible to provide whispered interpretion without equipment but only for groups of 3 or less.
Liaison Interpretation is a mixture of Consecutive and Whispered Interpretation mostly used in face-to-face meetings.
Military interpretation requires both consecutive interpretation skills as well as physical endurance. The interpretation is mostly done in the training field, and the interpreter is often required to be part of these trainings. Military interpretation also requires a high level of discipline as live ammunition is used throughout the training.
